What is a CMP?
A Consent Management Platform collects and stores consent and objections for cookies and tracking – including proof of consent.
What is IAB TCF?
The IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework standardises purposes, vendors and TC strings. adconsent implements TCF 2.3 technically (TC string, __tcfapi, Global Vendor List) but is not yet a CMP registered with IAB Europe; until registration it uses the test CMP ID 999. Many TCF vendors only process TC strings from registered CMPs.
Will adconsent slow down my site?
The public bundle is under 30 KB gzip. Place the script first in head so blocking works.
How do I install adconsent?
A short snippet first in head (stub.js, configuration with the property key from the admin, cmp.js). See the SDK docs for details.
